Default Tires?

I'm sure this is the most "ohhh really, c'mon , use the search" threads.

But I'm gonna do it anyway. I have looked at the tire fitment thead, and I
still need advice. Everything there is in 33" 36" ect. What do these equate to in the 275 285 295 series? I want to keep my stock wheels, I like them, so what size can I go up to using a 2" leveling kit? So far I really like the cooper discoverer sst. Also who has them and how are they in the snow?

I went with 295/70/18 Trail Grapps, 2.5" HBS, no rubbing, fills the wheel well nice. I went with that size for 2 reasons: 1 better deal than a 35/12.5/18, and 2 I didn't want to push it to the max size, 35/12.5/18 for fear of rubbing or maybe a little to wide for stock wheels. I know some have them and have no problems, but I wanted to play it a little safe. What's an extra 1/2 inch anyway?
