All-Terrain = Good Year Duratracs are probably the highest rated on the market; gotta give credit where due. Recommended alternatives = General Grabber AT2 and BF Goodrich AT

Mud-Terrain = BFG KM2 or Good Year Kevlar MT. Recommended alternatives = Cooper STT [hybrid mud], General Grabber, and ProComp MT.

I'm not going to bash on the Asian brands ... Nitto/Toyo, Kumho, Falken; have already made my opinion known in other threads, but you will likely find the Asian brands cheaper [sad reality] if cost is your main concern. Manufacturing is a global endeavor.

Can't speak much for m/t's but for a/t's I've had bfg's and nitto's. Was a little disappointed in the bfg's as the outside edges of the tires went from okay to TRASHED in the course of 5000 miles somehow, have seen three other sets of of the bfg's show the same weird wear pattern. Have e-range nitto's on now and much happier with them, much better in snow and mud IMO and are still nice and square and are wearing evenly, both good tires but I prefer the nittos

i have toyo open country, not bad but think there is better A/T out there.

they do make a good M/T though, a buddy of mine has cooper mud grapplers and loves em. nitto's are good too

I have toyo m/t on a 2005 lifted superduty and it pulls a 12000pd trailer great but what im getting at is they last really really long. Plus i have a set on my 95 jeep wrangler and a set on a 2002 screw all lifted and 35's never had a problem in any terrain except sand the tires dug alot. But overall deffinatly recomend the toyo

Imho id go with nitto terra grapplers or bfg a/t, both tires are very good in all types of weather and icy conditions as well.
