Default Ride Quality ?

Hey everyone figured i'd say hi & i'm new to this site but have loved all the info i've gotten (ATOM, You have been really helpful. thanks) My question now is how much of the ride quality is changed when you jump to a 35 from stock ( 255/70/17 was on it when i bought it -05 xlt s.cab) i know it depends on the new tires but i'm sticking with a semi aggressive tire (315/70/17 yoko geolander, can't remember the specific tire but not too aggresive) so i can still cruz on the highway. any comments would be greatly appreciated !!

Planning on running Dick Cepek Torque Wheels (17x8.5) on my 08 4x4. I'm gonna wrap em in a set of 315/70R 17's. Already have a Rough Country 2.5 leveling kit with rear blocks. I know I'll be cutting it close with the back spacing on these wheels (5in). Anbody running this set up or something like it? Any rubbing?

Default 2008 4x4 with 2" kit

Hello I am new to this site and it just has a ton of info! I just can't seem to find the answer to my question...so here goes.. I have an 2008 F150 4x4 X-cab with a 2" leveling kit on it. It has factory 18" wheels and i would like to put the Nitto trail grapplers tires on that are 295/70/18..

Will these fit without any problems? I read all over this post and cannot determine if they will or not... I don't want to buy them and then need new wheels, i wanna stick with the factory wheels.

Let me know if anyone has this set up and if it works or not.. Thanks sooo much

@ swatdawg.... the tire size your looking at is pretty much a 35". normally the kit will tell you it can fit 35's but you may have to trim your splash guards a tiny bit, not sure since you're sticking w/ stock tires. look at this link from rough country. i used their 2.5" in the front and 1" block in the rear kit and this is the tiny bit i had to trim because of aftermarket rims. Good Luck !!( http://www.fourwheeler.com/techartic.../photo_09.html

Default Torque Thrusters 20" tire advice needed.

I hope I am not redundant, as probably been posted before.
I have a 2005 Supercrew, 2WD, 5.4, with the stock wheels and stock Continental tires that were the standard setup. The tires are dead, and the wheels, well, you know... I would like to get a tire & wheel package.

I really don't like the current emptiness in the fenderwell, and would like to go up in tire size and install American Racing Torq thrusters, which are 20" x 8.5".

I really do not want to go too large on the tire, and loose too much performance (HP), but I am all ears.
My primary use is on road and would appreciate better handling, while not having to worry about some rain. A higher speed rating would be nice as it will have some suspension improvements, shocks and ....?

I would really like your opinion as I am lost on the tire to use and assorted other valuable improvements.
If it helps, the truck barely sees 7K miles x year, so the wear rating is not of big importance.

Please let it all out, I am a newbie, yet really like trucks and other high performance autos.

Thank you for the help.

Regards, Alberto

I'm looking to run a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers in 295/70/17 on the stock wheels on my 05 FX4 with a 2.5" HBS level. Am I going to run into any rubbing issues?
