Mine may have come with E originally, but I bought it used from a Ford dealer with D rated and then replaced the rear ones myself with E rated.
Tire Rack has these 2 BFGs http://www.tirerack.com/tires/CompareTires.jsp
They look to be exactly the same load capacity, even though they have different ratings...

Mtnlovrs - Even though each tire may only support 2100 lbs, you have 4, so that should easily support the max payload of 2600lbs, i think.

the only reason tehy put e rated tires on these trucks is becouse of the added tow capacity...my uncle has a 05 f150 hd and he pulls a 25 foot boat with his... and it has d rated tires...

be sure to do the regualar rotations... that is key to make your tires last... exspecially on heavier trucks... without rotations heavier vehicals get flat spots... my f250 always ends up with flat spots... i never rotate my tires on any of my vehicals...always end up regretting it..haha

Default Rubbing While Braking Hard.....

I'm new to the forum and have read all pages in this thread but didn't seen an answer to my question.... I have a 2006 F-150 XLT SCrew 4x4 with OEM 17" wheels. I have a 2.5" front leveling kit and 1" blocks in the rear. I just put on 285/70/17 Kelly Safari TSR's yesterday. No rubbing while cruising, turning hard or light braking but I've noticed a rubbing/knocking?? when braking hard that seems to be coming from the rear. Any thoughts or ideas what it could be??

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Have you looked at your rear brakes? I don't know if you're aware, but you also have small brake shoes inside your rear brake rotors for your "parking brake". Sometimes they can make noises and frequently get missed while inspecting the rear brakes.

So, since you have new wheels and tires. Do you want to sell your stock aluminum wheels (FX4)?
