Default 33x12.5 tires versus stock tires.

I have a 2004 F-150 4x4 4 door short bed Lariat. The suspension is completely stock. Can I run 33x12.5 BF Goodrich All terrains KO2 in place of the stock tires size? Will I have to have the speedometer calibrated for that size tire? How is that done? Appreciate all your advice.

Thank you all

Guessing you have the 18" Lariat wheels. I've seen 285x65x18 BFG's work on the stock wheels at stock height. If you had the 275x65x18 stock tires that are close to 32 inches tall the 33's would not throw the speedo off by much. Stock wheels are only 7.5 inches wide and not the best choice for a 12.5 inch wide tire.

Question.
Would my stock, 18x7.5 wheels work with a 4" RC lift? Using 1.5" wheels spacers..
Asking for.... research purposes...

Rancho made a 4" lift for the 04-08 F150's that allowed the use of the stock wheels. Don't know about the RC lifts.

Hi folks,

I'm planning to get 20x10 with -24 offset, a rough country 2.5" leveling kit and it looks like the tires size 305/50R/20 is suitable for the setup. Or should i go with 285/55R/20 instead?

Can someone verify if my calculation for my wheels and tires are accurate and they won't rub??

Thanks in advance!

DJ

It's time for me to get a fresh set of tires. I've lowered two inches in the back and on stock 20's. Its currently running Cooper Discovery H/T's in a 275/55/R20. I'm looking for something maybe a little wider. I'm not even sure what the stock size was, as these were on the truck when I got it. Any recommendations for a street truck?

That is stock on a 4WD but, you didn't mention what kind of truck you are talking about... and how did you lower the rear 2" .. Remove the blocks ?

Need Some Help.

I currently have F150 Super Crew 4x4 FX4 with the following specs:
2.5" Rough Country Front Level
3.0" Ready Lift Rear Blocks
Bilstein 5100 Series Gas Charged Rear Shocks
BFG KOs 305/65/18 (OEM Wheels 7.5/18 +44offset)

I spent a ton of time researching the OEM wheel and tire configurations on the F150 forums before I leveled the truck and put the 305/65/18 on the OEM FX4 wheels and was a little disappointed as the 305/65/18 OEM wheel/tire setup actually rubbed at full lock, but I love the 305/65 size tire just want to get rid of the rub I dont need to go huge but I like bigger tires.

I recently purchased a set of 2017/2018 Raptor wheels for $500 (no tires) brand new pull offs. They are getting ready for powder coat. I am going to be pulling about a 6000lb travel trailer going forward. I read over and over that members are running the raptor pull offs with the BFG KO2s 315/70/17 without any rubbing (some 2004-2008 but more in the 2009+ model years. I just dont see how that is possible, I am running the 305/65/18 OEMs and get rub at full lock. I understand the rim difference but that 315/70/17 seems much, much, larger.

What would you guys recommend considering the 6000lb travel trailer. If I did the 305/65/17 or 305/70/17 would I still get the rub with the new raptor wheels? I feel like 285/70/17 is too small. Below are the size options I currently have available based on the BFG KO2s that I want to get SIZE - 305/65R17, 285/70R17, 34X10.5R17, 285/75R17, 315/70R17, 35X12.5R17
