Your offset and backpacking don't add up. An offset of 0 would give you a backpacking of 4.5in on a 9in wide rim because 0mm of offset means the hub is directly center of the rim. FYI Ebay is notorious for screwing up offset and backpacking measurements.

Positive offset: the higher the offset the less of the wheel that will be sticking out. As your offset increases your rim will move in towards your truck. Problem is if you go too high your 12.5in wide tire will rub the upper control arm. Keep backpacking bellow 5.5 and know that each tire has different tread which could stick out further. Use a tire size calculator to help you out.

I am putting on 295/60/20 tires on a 20x9 rim with +10mm of offset tomorrow and have all the confidence that it will not rub. I searched for my rim/tire combo and read peoples accounts on how their offset worked and how it fit.

Hopefully this helps ya out, PM me if you still have questions and ill try to point you in the correct direction.

I have 18x9 XD Machined Rockstars that are 0mm offset with a set of 33x12.5 Nitto Mud Grapplers. They stick out about 2 inches from the fender well. I am only running a 1 or 1.5" level ( not sure because it was on when I bought it). I had to slightly trim the front lower valence but in my opinion it looks better that way anyhow. Other than that no rubbing.

Default fx4 20" on xl

hi, this is a long thread, and I am not finding what I am mainly concerned with. I have a 2wd 2004 Xl f150, and I found a set of FX4 20" rims with 275/55-20 tires can I just bolt these on and use them? or do I need to level the suspension first? Or will they not fit at all?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated
John

If the rims have the same bolt pattern they'll fit fine but what you need to worry about is the width of your tire.. In regards to a leveling kit you might as well it's makes a huge difference in look

Default fx4 rims

Thanks! I figured rims would fit, hoping I could use without a level kit. I haven't decided on lifting get to level,or lowering the rear.

So if I have 4x4 with stock 18" rims and 2in level kit I will be able to run 295/70/18?
