Default Tire Shopping....

I'm looking for some new tires. The stock tires are getting worn down, and need to be replaced befor winter. Right now are the stock BF Goodrich Rugged Trail 275/65/18's. I typically drive mostly highway, no offroad, but I do like the looks of a more aggressive tire, not to mention I live in Wisconsin, and deal with a lot of snow and ice. What do you guys recommend for tires? Makes? Models? Stick with the same size? Get bigger size? I don't want to buy new rims, but I'm not opposing bigger tires that will fit that rim and my wheel well. Here are a few tires I'm looking at now:

BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgco...terrain-t-a-ko

Michelin LTX A/T2: http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...2/tire-details

Goodyear Wranger with Silent Armor:

BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A: (basically same as stock)

What are your suggestions and why? I like the looks of the Goodyear, but I've heard they are kind of crap tires. Thanks!

BFG AT KO's. Great tire IMO. In the midwest here also and they perform well in the snow and on the highway. I wouldn't put anything else on my truck. Keep them rotated and they will last you a long time.
Never been a fan of Goodyears. They just don't seem to last long.

IMO I live my nitto terra grapplers. There amazing on the highway and do well off-road. I went to Ohio on a hunting trip and drove through 2 feet of snow only slipping when I did it intentionally... but the 275/65 is a great size. Just my $0.02

I just got a set of these a week ago--went with 275/70-18--same width but an inch taller. Really like them so far, a little stiffer than the Nexen tires the dealer threw on. The original tires were probably the same as yours -BFG Rugged Trail-thats what my spare is..

BF Goodrich A/T KOs all the way. They last forever if you keep em rotated and are phenominal in snow and ice. Ive never had a better tire in the winter.

I really liked the Firestone Destination AT's I had on my truck and wouldve gotten another set if not for getting a sweet deal on a set of Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's, which are supposed to be a better tire.

I also mostly drive on the highway but like a fairly aggressive looking tire on a truck. The Destination AT's were great in the snow. I got 45k out of them and probably wouldve gotten more if I had rotated them a bit more often.

So far Ive only put about 500 miles on the Duelers.

X2 on this above! My mom bought a set of these for her Sonoma (4door/4X4) and they are pretty nice. I would give my essay speech on Nitto Trail Grapplers, but these are really nice for a truck that is stock.

Ok, well that kind of brings up another point. Do I stick with the stock size of 275/65/18, or jump to something bigger like 2ndf150's 275/70/18? Are there advantages of getting a bigger tire? I don't need to go monster big, but of course I'm sure a bigger tire would be nice My truck is the "Stone Green" color so I don't think it would be a great color to have a really "jacked up" truck with. There are SOOO many brands, and models of tires it really almost gets confusing. I'm nervous about buying tires I've never heard of like General Grabber, Nitto, Cooper, Falken, the list goes on and on. I think I would stick with a brand I recognize more, so I'm thinking I'm going to stick with the BF Goodrich, or Michelin's - correct me if I'm wrong! I really don't know much about this stuff. Computer's and band equipment...well that's a different story Here is a pic of my truck so you can see what colors it is and try to picture it would look with bigger tires.
