Default Tire chain question

I got my truck into a really bad spot while hunting and it's going to require chains to get out, I was told by my dealer not to chain up the front. I know I'm gonna need to chain all 4. will I hurt anything by putting chains up front?

Not sure why you would not want to chain up the front. Perhaps he was concerned about the chains catching different components when making hard turns. You may need to keep from turning the front wheels all the way to the stops.

Put cable chains on the front. They have less bite and will put less stress on the front drive train components.

Also grab yourself a handheld come-along and a strap.. not the fastest method, but can get 'er done in a pinch.

I finally got her out! Chained the rear and it did good until the first switchback... Put some lighter chains up front and she came right out! Thank you all who replied!!!

Yeah chains that fit properly and are tight will never be a problem.
