Default tire boil down

well i think ive just abount made my mind up on my new tire choice and i want to thank those of you who responded to my posts about this. as a final aid to making the choice i am posting to see which out of these two forum members like best.
so here are my final two contenders:

275/55/20 goodyear silent armours
and
275/55/20 nitto terra grapplers

thanks in advance for taking the time to put in your vote.

Silent Armors, no contest.

I put somewhere in the neighborhood of 80000kms on my last set, and they were studded, I ran them all year with the studs and they didn't start chunking until the 70000km mark. I put those tires through hell, twice.

I put around 87,000 miles on my silent armors and would have gotten 10 more if the winter wasnn't coming. Just be sure to rotate every 5000-6000 miles. I cannot stress that enough.

nittos. silent armours suck. had them before i got my BFGs. only got about 30k miles on em, terrible traction in wet weather too. my BFGs have about 35k-40k with a hell of a lot more tread then them goodyears.

IDK what happened with your Silent armors, but mine were probably the best all terrain highway tire i have ever owned. Living in the northeast they have seen it all, mud, snow, ice and performed extremely well. And when i took them off there was still enough tread to get through another summer at 87kmi. You might have got 30kmi out of them by never rotating them but with any tire you will extend the life extremely if you rotate every 6kmi

they were rotated. just a shat tire. tire roll with them goodyears was horrible too. crappy wet traction and they werent the greatest in the snow. maybe i got an unlucky set but that was, and will be my last set of goodyear tires lol i may venture in the furture to try out the Duratracs, thats a big MAYBE.

my BFG A/Ts have been so much better than them tires.

i just checked my BFGs. ive only got 31k miiles on em, thought i had more, but i have 7/32" of tread left on all 4.
