Hi everybody-

I have taken the cover off my 2005 expedition, I have replaced the cam Phasers. My timing chain on the right appears loose to the point that when I turn the crank it can touch the other side of the chain? Is that a failed tensioner or bad chain?

Sounds like a tensioner to me

 

I agree, but if the chains have been hitting and you already have the cover off, replace the chain as well.
