Tie rod ends
So I'm sorting out another issue with my truck. 2005 4x4 model. Since I've bought it when I turn the wheels while sitting still there's a popping noise. The same sound can also be heard if I have a trailer or boat hooked up and leaving from a stop, especially when going uphill. Does this sound like tie rod ends? Also, I'm sitting on a 4 inch rough country lift with 35 inch tires on 17 inch wheels if that matters
I think if the TREs were so loose they pop you would have death wobble or sloppy steering.
Have someone else turn the wheel while you lay under neath looking and feeling for what's popping. I'd guess maybe a loose inner control arm bolt or something.

That would also cause the same sound im hearing when taking off from a stop? It will only do it if I have a trailer or boat connected. Sometimes if I don't have the trailer or boat hooked up it'll still make the noise taking off from a stop if I'm on a steep incline
