Ticking

I have a 2007 lareit,5.4,real bad ticking noise especially when slowky go up hill, like my driveway.But even sirting idle, what can it be? Kinda sounds like a diesil I am told

Does the engine sound louder? Does it feel like you lost power? If so, torque header bolts and check exhaust coupler connections.
