Default Throttle body doesn't close completely

While I had my TB pulled off to clean it yesterday I noticed that it doesn't stay completely closed. I can manually close it but the spring holds it just slightly open. Is this normal? Wish I would have snapped a few photos.

I wanna say a slight crack open is normal. Now you've got me wondering

Thanks Scorge. Hoping someone else jumps in to confirm. I swear a year ago I remember reading somewhere on some forum that slight crack open is normal for fly by wire, but I can't for the life of me find that thread again.

Mine stayed open when I took it off, no problems with it. Normal or not, I'm not sure.

These trucks have no separate idle air control so the throttle body stays open slightly to modulate the idle.

Thanks for the explanation Kozal01.

No problem! I wondered the same after I got my 05. All my other trucks had a throttle cable and an IAC valve (which was problematic on my old Rangers) but these new fly by wire throttle bodies no longer need an IAC to modulate idle.

I took mine off for cleaning due to rough idle. Didn't fix the rough idle. Mine isn't closing all the way either. I heard that plastic nut shown in the last pic is for butterfly adjustment. I'm not fooling with mine, I don't want to trip up the ecu.
