Thinking outside the box..
Holy **** the hate in this website is insane. Why does it matter if his parents worked hard to provide their children with the finer things in life, or if he worked for it. you guys talked about how hard you worked for the stuff you have but i guarantee if your parents were in a position to give you a nice truck you would be more then happy to show it off and be a little childish with it.
Im sure every single on of you guys did some stupid crazy **** with your cars or trucks in highschool. you guys are ****ing jokes if you say otherwise.
have fun with your truck man but be careful and if you do the wiper thing just make sure cars are stopped, and not driving..

I'm 19 and my parents bought my 07 Lariat F150 when I was 16. I have worked my butt off during the summers for a pipeline construction company since I was 15. (Normally 60+hrs a week) So people can say what they want about parents buying teens nice trucks, but that doesn't make all of us spoiled. I don't pay for my insurance but I do pay for my gas and modifications. I agree with most people that the washer fluid trick is stupid but let the OP do what he wants to with his truck.

You go on Goobers cool list.
He can do what he wants , sure but don't expect everyone should applaud.
Look up you tube of putz's scaring folks with train horns, that is how OP rolls.
Done feel like you have to stick up for him.
He made his own bed.
Good for you, your fine truck, and your work ethic.
Guys like you give me hope.
I agree with madesicc. My parents bought my first truck for me and made me work to pay for all the expenses included. You had better believe that I was proud of that 98 Ram when all the rich kids were driving around in brand new 08 Chevys and what not. I had train horns, headers, and straight pipes on a short wheel base reg cab ram so you know everyone in the county heard it when I took off in that truck. Point being, he is just a kid right now. Let him make some mistakes and learn from them. I did, and that's why I now drive a stock FX4 except for tint and lack of mufflers. He'll grow up and lose some of the "stupid" over time
If yall think 20k on a 16 year old is ridiculous then you need to ride around the parking lot at my school. You will find it littered with 40k trucks which are mostly silverados and sierras, all of them crew cab and ltz and z71 4x4. Dont get me started on somebody i know that has a 80k mercedes. And nor does he have a job as a 16 year old. About 35k is the standard around the parking lot around my school. My 2008 (passed down from dad), 20k when we got it(new) and is still worth the same with 60k miles on it. My truck doesnt cost half as much as the others around my school but to me a looks like a million bucks. And yes i do work a lot and dont get paid for it (work for family around farm). But i enjoy the heck out of it.

The town i work in is full of rich kids(niceville florida, more specificaly, bluewater). Was at the pump the other day, this 08 king ranch rolls up, 20" rims, 37" open country mt's, lifted to the sky. BEAUTIFUL IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Door opens. Person jumps down, i look, didnt even have peach fuzz. Arms about 4" in diameter. Kid hadnt even ht puberty. And he was standing there like filling this beast up was just killing him. I wanted to punch his dad right in the face.
954,
You are much, much better than that.
I had lots of rich kids in high school too.
They are like a bad rash.
Daddies success makes them better.
Not.
I looked up some of them.
You'd be suprised how many are painters and the like.
I figure dad got tired of giving them a free ride.
Steer a course around envy, you'll be just fine.

Kid at my school has a 05 harley edition f250 powerstroke on 35" toyo's. And yes goob i realize this, most dont know what he value of a dollar is. So when parents let them out of the nest, they usually fall flat on their face within 2 months.
Heck, i'll throw my .02 in too. When I was 16 (i'm 25 now) I was given my dad's old commuter car. 1996 Nissan Maxima SE, 5spd with a DOHC 3.0. First thing I did was work ALLLLL summer and and asked $ for Chirstmas and got 17" rims, CAI, cat-back, and a sound system. I loved that car in highschool, and I thought those were some decent upgrades. I probably played the music too loud and annoyed a few neighbors, but I never did anything dumb...UNTIL, the summer between Junior to Senior year (2003) when I installed Auto Zone lighted windshield wiper fluid spary nozzles. Basically they looked factory, but with a flip of a switch they would light up. I was going to install a light kit under the car too (thankfully I didn't, you have to remember these were the years Fast and Furious was big). Anways, I was pulled over for the lights (they were clear, but had a bluish tint) and an officer told me I could be arrested on the spot for impersonating an officer --- and that's a federal crime. Needless say, I was scared to death and never turned them on again. Bottom line, here in Georgia/Metro-Atlanta we have certain privledge people and there is nothing wrong with that. However, the train horn and spray nozzle will probably get you in trouble like I got myself into. However, do what you want but a sound system is always good place to start. Not to mention, the ladies really aren't into spray nozzles and train horns...
