Default Thinking of lifting bigger. Suggestions needed.

I will be in need of a new set of tired within the next year and began thinking about going to 37's. I currently have a 6" suspension lift and am considering the addition of a leveling kit and add-a-leaf to bring the truck to 8" of lift. Factors I'm keeping in consideration is my 140,000 mile motor and 3.73 gears. Would it be harmful to the truck without changing gears? On my current university budget, gear exchanging is out of the picture. Any thoughts towards this idea? Or should I just stay where I am now on 35's?

Your truck is big enough. Stay with the 6" and 35's.

Stay where you are and save for money on differential gears if anything. 37s on stock gearing is going to be hell on a drivetrain that's already 140k miles old.

Dang, I can't believe you have been running stock gears on 35's lol

I would definitely save and go with 4.56 or 4.88 for 37's... your tranny and engine will thank you
