There are Dorman, Needa parts, and Jegs ones available at auto parts stores for $5 or less. I have used the Dorman and Needa Parts ones and they seemed fine but I think no matter what ones you use you want to take extra precautions to make sure it seals by using a sealant. I didn't know if maybe the B&M one was special in some way to ensure a better seal. Of course if it anything like my local Napa (the only auto parts store in my small town) everything costs more lol.

Just did the pan drop/filter change yesterday. Had a shudder upon shifting out of O/D going up a slight grade. Pull a 5000lb toy hauler and don't want any problems. Dropped pan, new Autozone Duralast filter, 5 quarts of Castrol MerconV and no more shudder! Total cost was $44 and factory gasket reusable. Found the mysterious white plastic plug too. Next service Ill definitely install drain plug. 106890 miles and Ford recommends 150000 for service? For the price its a no brainer either DIY or trans shop.
