TCS Traction Control question
I don't know much about TCS traction control system as an option.
Is it an easy, or cheap upgrade available to my 2008 lariat 4x4?
Is it a good option to have, or is my limited slip diff good enough for the job.
Has anyone done this before? TIA

I would check first to see if your wiring harness is setup for the TCS. If you pull off your radio bezel, there should be to plugs dummy plugged into plastic caps on each side of your cigarette lighter. If you dont have them (left is the TCS, right is the Parking Sensors) you'll now have to figure out how to wire the whole truck (I believe). Someone please correct me if I am wrong (I own an XLT so none of those fancy things are wired onto my harness factory).
yup i have the plug hiding in there. I read some threads about TCS , sounds like alot of people hate it and are trying to disable it (at least on 2009+ trucks). Is the 2004-2008 TCS different animal? and can it be switched off when desired?
If you have the plug, you should have TCS ready to go. All you need is the button (i think). I believe you can turn it off/on by depressing this button, just like you can for the Parking sensor. I'll take pics when I get home, give me til 5pm CST. lol, god I wish it would be sooner!
