Default Taillights going on and off

Last night after picking up my truck after having new tie rods put on I was driving home my wife was behind me. She told me when we got home when I hit a bump the taillights would flicker on and off. Could this be my battery or alternator?

that sounds more like a bad ground or loose connection, not an alternator/ battery. That would affect the whole electrical system

It could also be the brake light switch on the brake pedal going bad.
