Default tailgate liner bolts

I am selling my bed liner out of my 07 fx4 and when I took off my tailgate pad it seemed like the bolts were bigger because they had to allow room for the pad. Am I just crazy or are there bigger bolts?

They are bigger, I have a 04 and no bedliner and mine are smaller and not long enough to fit my tailgate liner. If you wanna trade hardware ill do it lol.

Funny ...I took my bedliner out yesterday and found the same "shoulder" bolts. They stood off the gate about 1/2". I called the dealer parts counter to see if I could get different ones, the parts guy said "we have a whole box of them, come take what you need." Off I went--gave me all 8 for nothing. When they install liners they save the bolts. Gray color button head with a torx.

Okay. I thought so. I called the guy and said we need to switch hardware. If he forgets I'll help you put bit I'm sure he'll remember. And that's good to know. If for some reason I get in a bine I'll give ford a call. And I'm in Ohio and I currently have it sold for 50 bucks pending pickup.

Save you're money and get a spray in liner or a do it yourself kit like the dupli color bed armor. The drop in liners are bad news they chafe paint off and cause rust underneath. I took mine out when my truck was just over a year old and there was rust under it. Threw it away and used the dupli color bed armor. Just a heads up

Me too. I'm getting it rhino lined in the next few weeks. I have had my bedliner for sale locally on craigslist waiting until somebody wanted it and then get it lined. So I found a guy and took it out. Of course he can't come for two weeks after I already took my toneau cover off and everything to take the liner out. Oh well.are you selling yours?

x2

I scrapped every plastic bedliner a dealer "threw in at no cost" when I got the truck home, and promptly used a bed liner kit. The plastic will chaf the paint, then the rain will get between the bedliner and metal, and within a half year, rust.
