Hi

When i get the truck the handle wasn't in the right position, today i was painting my taillights so i disarm the tailgate panel to fix this, but i found that the handle is to deep for the metal sheet that hold's it in place, and there is no way this handle can correctly fit.

I don't know what to think maybe the previews owner change it when he paint it and put a wrong one, is there another truck that use this kind of handle??

just looked at my dads chevy and my ford and I can tell you that your latch is exactly like my ford. I'm not sure what the previous owner might have done but is it a possibility that he changed tailgate. If you post pics of the whole tailgate I'll let you know if its any different than mine. Not the best pic, but this what i have for now, i'll take some for the tailgate tomorrow.

 

tailgate seems to be stock and now I can't think of anything else. could be the right handle just from a different year? so its a thicker handle than the 05 tailgate?

 

Don't know, that's what i'm trying to figure out.
