I've got an 04 STX. I need to replace my tailgate. Actually, I've already replaced it once but I bought a cheap chinese made super thin replacement off ebay that was a waste of time. My original got beat up after 6 years of working/use and now the replacement looks worse than original. I'm afraid of buying online again because of my last experience. I can't find anything in a local junk yard, it seems as though any scrap truck with a usable bed piece or tailgate gets scooped up right away, and I don't need a whole new bed.

So, is there an aftermarket source for a tailgate? I need something that is as strong as original, not cheap chinese knock offs. Or does someone have a suggestion as to where to get a replacement?
