Does any one now were I can get a gauge cluster with a tach for my 04xl with the 4.6.Or how would I wire up a autometer tach?

 

get a cluster from an XLT and have the dealer program it.

 

go to eBay and search " f 150 cluster ".

There is one there now from a parts house that guarentees their parts.
I think it was $120..............

It also depends on if the vehicle is the "heritage" 2004 or the "redesigned" 2004.

Use the search. I did a huge write up on cluster swapping awhile back here. It told what will work, what will not with the 2004 to 2008 models.
