I believe Procharger makes a supercharger for the 4.6 F150s. It looks kind of like a turbo housing and bolts up on the front/driver's side of the engine, instead of like the 5.4 SCs that replace the intake manifold. I think those are over 4K too.

Hadn't heard of this TC before. Interesting.

An odd air induction item I saw on this site (advertisement) was for what essentially looks like an electric blower (like a vaccuum cleaner fan system) that mounts between the air cleaner and the intake.

Those electric fans are junk. They act as restrictors more so then enablers. A) The fan would have to flow faster than you are intaking currently, B) If that was possible for $100, wouldn't we all be on that band wagon?

And also, they do make a 4.6L SC kit for our trucks. Essentially you use a 4.6L SC Kit for a Mustang (same block, just match years, 2v for 2v). Everything bolts up, intake mani on up. The main difference which will require some minor fab work is the angle of the intake tubing. Mustangs point towards the passenger headlamp, ours are perpendicular to the front end. All you need is a 135^ bend to get you back to the driver side.

I've been researching SC's and TC's for the past 16 mo. trying to figure out what way I am going to go this next winter. Take pics; I'm gonna go a custom TC build, in the E. Bay mounting and everything, but would love to see how your system turns out!

Good Luck!

I've got an old Kirby I use in the garage and for the vehicles. Maybe I can fab it up to my JD lawn tractor intake and do wheelies while mowing!

That Mustang SC might work with a lesser bend (80-90 deg of turn) to the area in front of the radiator. Hmmm.
