Default Swapping xlt cluster for lariat. Button question for message center

Found an 04 Lariat odometer cluster with column shifter that I want to swap my XLT odometer cluster out for. Does anyone know the process of installing the three button control (info/setup/reset for the message center. My xlt has the stick on top.

the short answer is that cluster is not compatible with your truck

You will lose AC function as well. You can swap in an FX4 cluster though if you get it from a donor truck that had manual AC and not climate control. Also, make sure it’s out of an 04-05. It’ll be plug n play at that point.

Dang much appreciated I'm not a fan of the FX4 with the silver color I really like the black white Chrome for the lariat Style. I'll just repair the display on my XLT again
