Default Superchips Flashpaq Tuner???

Hey, I'm new to the forum and i was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. My friend sold his 2005 F-150 5.4L and before he sold it, he took off the Superchips tuner. I have a 2005 F-150 4.6L, i was wondering if the tuner could be reprogrammed to work with my 4.6L or not? If so, is it worth doing?
Thanks

Ok, on www.autoanything.com the Superchips Flashpaq Tuner Model #1815 is for the 4.2L, 4.6L, and 5.4L. But since that one is already programmed for the 5.4L, i'm not too sure that i could reprogram it for my 4.6L. I sure dont want to screw my truck up!!!!

As long as he returned his truck back to stock, it should work. When programmed, they are locked to the truck's VIN to prevent one tuner used on numerious trucks.

About $400 new - give or take $50. If you sell the 1815, LMK what you'd want.
