Default superchips flashpaq tuner

I know a guy selling his superchips flashpaq tuner. I am thinking about buying it but wondering what yal think. I'm wanting it for gas mileage. I am getting about 11mpg with 07 f150 with 35" mudgrapplers. How much would this help me? It is $300

With 35's and assuming stock gearing, It would be difficult to guess what the tunner will do for you.

Most tuners have an "economy" type tune (MPG tune) as well as performance tune(s). Check the tunners web site and perhaps call their customer service center to see if they can "guesstimate" some numbers for you.

And just FYI, you can get a better used tuner for under $300 if you look around. Edge, Gryphon, SCT X3. Superchips isn't bad at all, but the other tuners can do a lot more for you.

Just whatever you buy, make sure it's UNLOCKED. Most tunes get vinlocked to a car/truck when they are used to upload a custom tune to it and cannot be reused on another car until the stock tune is returned to the truck/car.

1 tuner = 1 custom tune uploaded at a time

I personally use SCT tuners myself and have been for years but all 3 that I listed are good.

Superchips is the under achieving brother who lives in the basement of SCT's penthouse. Mileage gains are sketchy no matter what programmer, but your best chances are with a custom tuned device. Gryphon and SCT are the best options out there.

I have the Superchips Cortex....kind of the same thing...programming is the same...anyway, I added that, along with CAI, and exhaust, and my mpg have gone from 16-17 in overall driving to 17-18 in overall driving. However, it feels much better driving. It was worth it and I would do it again. However, I had an SCT tuner with a custom Bama tune on my Mustang and it wonderful too...just my two cents...good luck
