I had the Superchip's Cortex on my F-150, before I got my EDGE. To be honest with you, it really didn't do anything, for my truck. Although, it did help out on the 2001 Sport Trac it was on before mine. It produce a smoother idle, a somewhat better acceleration, and helped out on MPG a little bit.

Why not save some money and get the Flashpaq instead of the Cortex? Unless you are trying to tune more than one vehicle, you don't need the Cortex. Flashpaq can do everything. Part number 1865 I believe. Give vehicleprogrammers a shot, Rob will take care of you over there. Also, might want to give the new Edge Evo HT a shot, pretty similar to the Superchips Flashpaq.

I went from the Cortex to an SCT SF3. The difference in performance was like night and day. The SF3 has more options to adjust than the Cortex does. I may go with an Edge sometime down the road simply because of the options it has as well as the screen.
