Default superchips

sup guys, ive got a 05 f150 5.4l with a cold air intake, and i just added a superchips flashpaq programmer. since ive added the programmer it has been running like it has bad gas. ie spitting and sputtering. this morning it threw a code saying it was running to lean. how could i go about solving this issue, on the programmer itself i dont see an option to add fuel or lessen fuel. thanks for any help

Mine is an 08 with an Edge Evo. I had an AirRaid cai and the truck always had a hesitation bogging feel when i gased it after slowing down, turning etc.I thought the Edge,or hoped it would fix this problem but no dice! Took my cai off and the truck runs better than ever,,,no crap. Never trew codes.

Air intakes need custom tuning to properly account for them. Canned tuning like Superchips and Edge cannot account for it and exasperate already lean conditions from the intake. The 04-08 5.4L are especially bad for this. SCT and Power Hungry performance Gryphon are the preferred custom programmers for these trucks.
