This heavy beast is slow slow in comparison to yours.... But I'm curious what numbers it puts on the pavement...if I had to guess, I think it will be close to 400 hp or little more and about the same for tq...maybe 425 or so...we will see. That is still pretty good numbers for non-intercooled and only 3k investment.

We shall see on monday!!!

I've seen a dyno sheet on line from a truck like yours. I can't swear to it but I think the hp was around 340-350. Not bad. I was fortunate to get a Whipple for $3400. Of course with injectors and a tune I've got around $4200 in it. This past week I came upon a set of Dynotech headers used and jet hot coated for $500. Plus I found a used GT500 fuel pump and Zone 5 Mega driver. Combined with a 3.125 pulley and hi flow cats I hope to put 475hp to the wheels. Of course I will have $6200 in it by then.

Ouch!!....can the tranny handle all that HP and TQ? Drive shaft??

If mine doesn't do better than 350 hp I'm going to be a bit disappointed. Considering what it has stock and how it performs now....I really feel confident that it will be 400 or so.

The drive shft is at its limit now from what I have been told by a few others running 12psi. I do plan to upgrade it and put a kit in the tranny. The guy I've bought a few parts from also has a built tranny for a $1000 so if sumthin does go I know who to call.

Hmmmm...I took a look at the sheet....nice times at the track for the kit I think. I might get my feelings hurt though. I expected it to be much higher than that at the wheels. Lot of loss there IMHO. 300 hp motor with 8 lbs and it only pushes 350 hp now. What can I expect....about 25 percent loss in driveline? 25 percent would put you at 600 hp at the flywheel...that seems like a lot to me....surely there can't be that much loss...

The stock trucks I've seen put rwhp down between 218 and 234. Thats the highest and lowest I've seen. That being said we're losing at best 64hp and perhaps as much as 82. I think the 218rwhp number came from a 4wd. Anyway figure you had 300hp stock. You're kit adds 112hp. 412hp total minus 64hp is 348rwhp. Just an example. Either way you're much stronger then most of the trucks you will ever come across.

Keep in mind your drivetrain loss precentage doesn't increase just cause your horsepower does. The 25 percent loss is just about right for stock. However when you add horsepower you can't use that 25% figure anymore. It still takes the same 70 or so horsepower to run the drivetrain that it always did.

This has nothing to do with a Supercharger but going with your rwhp on the stock trucks.. my buddies 05' Screw FX4 with the 5.4 put down 315hp on a dyno with Flowmaster exhaust and just an Edge.. I would think a Supercharger would put down a hell of a lot more than 350hp?
