Default Supercab Quarter Windows

Hi folks. Just purchased an 07 F150 Supercab, 4.6L, 4x4. It came pretty bare-bones. I just added power locks and now working on power windows for the front 2 windows. My question to the forum is, what options were available for the quarter windows? I know power windows was one option, were the tilt out/pop out windows an option? If so can anyone tell me where I can get get them and is it a difficult install? Currently the quarter windows will not open. I am thinking about doing the power option on them but the problems are 1. Finding a donor truck with good parts that are reasonably priced and 2. is obviously the work involved with wiring them. I was fortunate enough to get the panels, motors and regulators from a u-pull it lot in my area for the front 2 windows, however the back 2 windows on that truck were gutted and from what I am seeing is these year trucks are hard to come by in the scrap yard.

There are actually window regulators or whatever you call them in the door. theres just no handle. Im sure you could put power windows in there or a handle somehow. I just drilled a hole and its a torx bolt so i use a hand torx bolt and manually screw them up and down whenever i use them. works for me because theyre hardly down. just for the dog.

Salvage yard will be your best friend here. Find a truck with power equipment group and see about removing the panel and internals. Should be a direct swap.

And look at her thread^^ Some good info in there.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I've already been to the scrap yards in my area but no luck with those back doors. To have the parts located and shipped to me through the salvage service, it would cost just as much to order the regulators and motors from a Ford dealer on ebay. I am somewhat intrigued by wrscpc07's reply about there already being regulators inside those doors. When I had the door panels off to change out the speakers, it simply looked like they had a steel bar bolted in there to hold up the window in place and keep it stationary. I will take a second look at that.

Replacing speakers was how I found this out. When you look again you'll see the torx bolt and when you turn it you'll see how it works. Power windows should work the same in the back as the front, it's just going to be some modification to the door handles if you want a switch back there. I'm going to work on installing a manual handle at some point

Great call on that torx bolt wrscpc07! After a second inspection, there is indeed a fully functional regulator already in there. However, how to incorporate a permanent hand crank looks to be challenging. I've been searching online for just a window motor to try and make it a power set up but it seems as though you cannot buy just a motor, you have to purchase an entire regulator with the motor. I'd be happy with just a hand crank on those windows. Do you have any ideas on how you would incorporate a hand crank in there?

It's been a bit since I looked into it but I would still like a handle. Maybe I'll look around again today. The issue is going to be how close the bolt is to the door arm rest/handle. It will have to be a small one

You could weld a torx bit in place, and attach a stubby socket wrench.
Btw, I'm only half kidding. The other half seriously thought that. Lol
