Default Sunroof help

The past couple of days there has been a bunch of ice here in Texas, so the other night when I was driving I couldn't see out my back window so I was trying to open the sliding rear window and accidentally pressed my sunroof button (dumb mistake) well it was frozen shut and make a loud cracking noise. It didn't crack the glass but the motor is not working to open it now, how can I fix this without having to take it to a dealership? Thank you

When mine broke, it would still shut tight but would not open far. I could see what was broken without having to completely disassemble.
Ford only sold complete assemblies for about $700 discount price.
Went to sunroofdr.com and bought the replacement rails for just over $100.
The instructions that came with the parts from Sunroof Dr were good. The repair was to lower the headliner, remove the sunroof, replace the broken rails and then reassemble. Took 2 of us about 3 hours to do. We had researched before starting to find out how to remove the sails, dome lights and other parts that had to come down before the headliner. The headliner was then rested on the seat tops. Not an easy job but saved a bundle as compared to ford labor and parts.
You need to determine what is broken so you can order parts and get started.

If it was mine I would check the fuse first, then drop the headliner to look for any visible issues. Maybe the culprit will show itself.

Good advice. I was just thinking it is broken.
Even if broken, if you can get it to move, you may be able to find the damaged parts by looking down from the top with it partially open.
