Summer or winter plug change
It pains me so much to start a thread on spark plugs, but I did not find any on the opinion of whether to change plugs in the winter vs. summer.
Anyone have any theories to back it up? I'm not even sure it matters, just curiosity. It's about 20-50 degrees here in Ohio for the next 2-3 months. Is it better/easier to wait and change them when it is 50-75 deg later in the year?

Never mattered on any vehicle I have owned before her in Wi. If the plugs are supposed to last up to 100K they should be able to withstand the temperature swing. I would think it is more about heating the engine to a good operating temperature and make sure the cooling system us up to the task. Take care!

Good luck
Good luck

My advise to anyone changing plugs on a 5.4 that has a lot of miles on the original plugs is to take the inake manifold off. It makes it a hell of a lot easier and only takes about an hour and a half to get off. Had to change plugs and manifold gaskets on a truck at work the other night and it was easy to get them out. I only broke # 4 and got the broke one out in less than 10 minutes. Just make sure you unhook the imrc actuator om the back before you jerk it off.
