Default Suicide Door Issues

Common problem with the F-150, both of my rear doors were stuck closed. So I ordered the new metal ends for the cables installed everything and got all the cables back in place but now neither of my suicide doors will shut, they close but will not latch, it's driving me nuts. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you .truck is a 2005 F-150 Supercab.

There is a little adjustment nut on the door handle side of the cable. you may need to loosen the tension on the cable just a touch to get it to close.

One of the doors I did would not close. I adjusted the little wheel and the top would latch, but not the bottom. Turns out I messed up the bottom one (bent the cable a little bit, not allowing tension to fully release).
You also need to make sure the new metal ends are pressed all the way in and that the cable is not binding on the inside of the metal piece.

You can check if the door will latch at all even with the door open. Just take a screwdriver and see if you can get the latch to lock in place.
