Default Suggestions on these Headlights?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-04-08-FORD-F150-CCFL-DUAL-HALO-PROJECTOR-LED-HEADLIGHTS-LIGHTS-LEFT-RIGHT-/380780371327?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2004%7CModel%3AF-150&hash=item58a8475d7f&vxp=mtr
Have read about 25 threads on headlights and many many mixed reviews. Really like these though. Any experience or advice? After more searching I found this kit with the ballast and bulbs for 208 bucks.

Pretty much any aftermarket projector lights aren't going to be that great. I speak from experience, not just opinion.

If you want proper projector headlights, you need retrofits. TheRetrofitSource is a great place to start with this. If you're a DIY'er, you can try to tackle the project yourself. If not, you can have a set made for you.

Just remember, you get what you pay for!

I wondered about this as 208 seems cheap for hid headlights. I may be dreaming as I want some so bad but scared they will be junk after a year? Might just have to settle for silver star halogen bulbs?

I can't comment on aftermarket halogen bulbs as I deal primarily with HIDs.
As I mentioned above, a retrofit will be your best bet. Here's a little sample, and this is from the low end projectors.

There are ditches on either side, so it's difficult to see the width these provide.

I have these but I think it's another brand same style. I sealed them just to make sure no leaks. The headlight cutoff is pretty crisp and I am happy with them.

sdatrlp23 is right. Many of those aftermarket halo projector HID lights may look cool, but the quality isn't even of OEM standard. I bought some chrome CCFL halo projectors and they came with the HiD's free. One side didn't even work. So I decided I liked OEM better and sent them back, just my opinion.

If it is a great looking projector you want (especially with halos), sdatrlp23 is who you want. The guy is Picasso with headlights! Have him make you a set of headlights that will turn every head within a mile of your truck.

Thanks for info guys. I guess I don't really need the best just looking for a nice look and anything that will be better than stock. If I can get a couple years out of these that would be fine as by that time I'd be ready for some new style. Ha. Are these fairly easy to install?

Besides grounding a couple of wires and connecting one to the battery (as with installing any HID system), everything is plug and play.

You can get more than a couple of years out of them if needed too.

Avoid them completely. I speak from experience. I have that exact set from that seller. After 3 months of having them on three of the clips that hold them in broke. This caused a hole in the back of the light. The passenger low bean quit working and it is not the bulb or my truck. I emailed dt moto (the seller) and they said that sucks. Buy another set. This was all after only 3 months.
