That's the factory sub box. Look up Rodney's boxes on ebay. I got a down firing single 10" loaded box from him. He will match your factory carpet and it fits nicely under the seat where your stock one is. he also has dual 10 and 12 inch boxes that span the whole back seat but you have to move the jack.

There's a kit you buy to raise the rear seat brackets up 2" or so to fit a larger box if you want 2 12"s and decent airspace.

Ported plays louder and hits harder. Non ported plays faster and accurately to be simple.

IIRC it's an 8" sub. You could (probably) stick another 8" sub in there but it wont be much louder and would need an aftermarket amp still anyhow to power it. You'll have to run a power wire to the new amp, the factory one is like a 14 gauge wire or something.

Sounds like you really dont want to have to spend the money, but really no way around it. It's gonna be atleast $200 to get sub's in the truck ebaying as cheap as you dare. My subs were $110 each, box was $80, the amp and wiring i've had from my own previous installs. Amp was $100ish off ebay. Wireing was cant remember. To much saved from various installs in my car haha. Like I think I mentioned. Have had sub's in all my vehicles since I first started driving 12 years ago. 96 Mercury Sable, 99 Ford Contour SVT, 2001 GMC Sonoma, 2003 Ford Explorer, and now my truck. So every install was quite different and needed something different. Ended up with pile of wiring and cabling and about 5 amps.

You could build your own box. I found these on another forum awhile back. this is for 2 10's.
