Subs

But in all seriousness, I have a single 12" sub box from some audio store on ebay, $90 (if i remember correctly) under my rear driver seat so I could keep the storage under the rear passenger seat. I have a Kicker CompVT 12" sub and I love it. Just enough to rattle some of the inside truck parts but not enough to hear it from the outside. haha.

Amp is 476 and the sub is 400. I dont know why Kicker says its a 400 watt amp and then you get a certificate in the box that says "this sub is rated for 476w". But its more than enough for me since I dont want to start getting into capacitors and all that. I listen to country so the bass is never turned up fully anyways.

They r awesome
I also have a stealthbox and it hits really hard for a 10'. It's very clean sound, perfect tone! They r not cheap though, if I was doing my sys now I couldn't afford to buy one...$700.+ kinda steep, but if u have the coin they're worth the cost, they look great too.

i have two 10" rockford p1 subs w/ a 600W phoenix audio amp and i love it, remind you im not into making so much boom that people on the sidewalks can feel it. i hate that for two reasons 1) its just wayyyyyy to much bass 2) it tells people you got something valuable in your backseat

I second what fiddick said.... FOX ACOUSTIC.... I have the dual 10" box with two RE Audio SRX 10D4's.... Fox Acoustic box allows subs that have up to a 6" mounting depth to work... Other boxes use like 5" or 5.25 forcing you to stick with a shallow sub....

I am going to build my own fiberglass box once it stops raining long enough for me to get out and work on it. Fiberglass is the way to go because you can get a lot more airspace in the box. I am going with a pair of 12" Rockford Primes and a Prime amp since this truck is pretty much a toy. The plan is for my total system to cost less then $1000 and that includes headunit, door components, amp, subs, box, and all wiring.

Speaking of shallow mount subs, they work great. Here is a custom build on a 91 single cab ranger, I know single cab F150's have a lot more room back there!
