Default sub install

got my sub installed today, it is a 10" kicker cvt powered by a jl 500.1 amp. ran off of the stock head unit. It is not hitting low notes that my old sub used to hit. any suggestions? could it be the stock head unit? or should i be running a different amp. thanks for all the help

Did you do the install? Stock head unit should only give the signals needed to the RCA/speaker wire adapter. Is your sub wired correctly? Amp settings correct? Could be several issues.
