If I was gravity draining twin manifold mounted turbos then I would definitely go for the pricey ball bearing turbos.

Just makes me nervous knowing that you have that all that oil lines unprotected. My truck is lowered to so i would have to make some kind of fabrication.

In a lowered truck, you have less room for the charge pipe to come up through the wheel well area, to the intercooler, then to the throttle body. I've checked everywhere, the only other place to run a charge pipe is next to the front axle on 4x4's. there maybe a bit more room if yours is 2wd.

I've done some research on the STS and what concerns me is water. Many say the water or moisture build up causes engine issues, seems like the MAF gets affacted which cause power loss.

I'm sure first thing in the morning water or moisture in the charge pipes could be an issue... A decent warm up time should counter that issue. But its still a valid concern.. It seems the ecoboost intercooler has its condensation issues, but I think its a design flaw with its dual in single out design.. I haven't seen the new revised intercooler yet, so I'm not sure what ford did to fix it.

Ya mine is a 2wd and i would like to keep using it as a daily driver, but would just be nervous having all that under there unprotected for the elements.

STS did their research. I've seen many types of vehicles with the STS installed and they are all fine. They addressed the water issue when they went to Garrett to build the turbo by talking to the designers. As long as you stay out of major puddles and stuff water spray from the road will be just fine with a dry charger. Especially if your running an intercooler. Or if you can mount it in the bed ( air filter). The kits are installed on many types of vehicles. If your super concerned just weld or bolt a metal plate up over the the filter like a skid plate. No one has done and engine bat turbo because its not worth it and there isn't enough room. As far as I can see.
