Default Strut Spring Compressor

Hello all...

I have a 2008 F150 4x4 that just had both coil springs replaced by my local dealer. After getting my truck back and driving it a little, it seems to be riding really rough. I have decided to replace the shock insert. I ordered some Rancho's to slip in there.

My question is this - I have heard that the cheaper spring compressors will not work for my F150 springs as they are not heavy duty enough. Does anyone have a brand or particular spring compressor they could recommend?

Thanks!

I have used the rent a tool program at auto parts stores to compress my springs and they worked just fine

I bought a cheap pair when I replaced my struts and one of them snapped while I was tightening it. Ended up renting a pair from Advance Auto for like $40 and they worked just fine. You can return them when you're done and get all your money back too.
