05 4x4 Triton

My mother drives a 2006 Expedition (5.4) with right at 90k. Lately she has begun to notice a strong smell of fuel when she starts the car. It stated out only doing it occasionally but now has become common. My dad took to car to our local Ford dealer because a buddy of his works there. They checked the torque of the plugs, the fuel rail, vacuum lines, catalytic converters and the PCV valve. They called my dad after having the car for a week and said they could not find the source of the fuel. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Had a similar issue after I changed my spark plugs. Turned out to be the plugs were not tightened enough. Went back to the shop and had them torque them to speck and immediately corrected the problem.

Might be a O2 sensor. Since i experience this recently then the check engine light came on and the code was for a bad O2 sensor
