Default Strange electrical problem

2005 FX4. Had this happen several years ago and magically it went away. Now it’s back. After sitting over night, start up in the morning, head unit doesn’t power up right away, maybe a minute goes by. More importantly, wipers don’t power up , sometimes 4 or 5 minuets behind startup. All other 12V comes online along with startup right away. Here’s the more unusual part. After wipers , headunit eventually power up , it’s fine for the rest of the day. If I’m in and out of the truck a dozen times during the day all 12V powers up immediately at start up. Any thoughts / insight would be greatly appreciated. Battery shows ok on the load tester although it about 2 years old.

Are the interior lights affected at all? How about the 4x4?

Water corrosion in passenger side fuse panel possibly? I would pull the wipers fuse and check power at fuse panel first thing in morning and see if you have power there on startup. At least it gives you a starting point

Havent checked the 4x4 but all interior lights and all other 12v that I’m aware of come online as soon as I start the truck.

Good idea, I will try that. I haven’t arrived at a starting point but that might be a good one . Thanks!
