Default Step bar compatibility

I have a 2008 f150 super crew 2wd. I'm looking at purchasing a set of nfab step bars from a member of the forum. They are mounted on a 2013 super crew 2wd, both 5.5 ft bed. My question is will the steps from the newer truck mount to my 2008? I have factory ford steps currently. I thought I read before they will but I can't find where I seen it... any help would be great!

I think Summers has some form a 13 or something like that on his. If I remember correctly he said all that was required was to move one of the mounts to a different location on the nerf bar by drilling some new holes but as far as mounting it to the frame the mount is the same.

Okay, I'm going from factory ford bars to nfab bars.

Ahh sorry I missed that part. If the factory ones needed to have one of the mounts moved to mount on the frame them I would guess you would need to do the same on those but I don't think you can move the mounts without grinding and welding. Cant tell you too much else though.

Hmmm.. I was hoping they would be rather simple to do.
