Steering wheel swap?
the wheel its self swaps over very easy, white crystal did one a few weeks ago, but Im guessing the wiring woudl make someone want to hang themslves unless it is plug and play.
you are best of going to your ford dealer and trying to see what they can tell you, and see if they can print you off a build sheet for your truck to see what wiring connections might be behind the dash.
good luck, and let us know what you find out.

Hey BF,
Did you find anything out yet about your swap?? I work at a Ford dealer, and we have never done it, I want to do the same to my XLT. I want to add the audio controls. I think it is plug and play, the only thing is the radio might have to be programmed. The clock spring behind the wheel, that is what you air bag, horn, and cruise switches run thru, is the same for all models. Just wondering what you came up with. I think i will try it tomorrow.

Tbob,
What you see above is all I have gotten to date...in fact soon thereafter I dropped that thought because I changed out the stock radio for a Pioneer Nav system.
The steering wheel itself should be cake, but what I think needs to be done is to see if the wiring harness for the steering wheel to stereo/heating controls is the same on the Lariat and XLT.
The radios are the same, but with the Laria having electronic climate, then there is where you get into a wiring dilemma.
Sorry that's all I have to offer...

I am adding these controls to my 2008 F350 Super Duty Crew with the Factory Visteon Radio with Single CD/MP3 input/AM/FM. Your existing clock spring will work, there is only 1 clock spring in all these vehicles. You'll need this Part Number 7c3z9c88aa for the Radio Control Black, which I picked up today from a local ford dealer. It is a 4 pin plug and it will use 4 free ports from your existing clock spring, I have the diagrams for this so email me and I will send it. Then you'll need the 4 wires pulled from your radio to the clock spring. Im waiting on those now from Visteon and I will provide as well. Feel free to email me directly.
