Default Steering issue

I have a 06 king ranch f150supercrew. There is a choppy feeling in the steering that I can't figure out. I have flushed out the fluid with no result. Not sure if it may be the pump or rack/pinion or possible tie rod (driver side has been replaced by previous owner). Any problems that anyone knows of or possible solutions. PLEASE HELP! Thanx

Tires are brand new this week. I put the new ones on, and had the same issue with the old tires and the new ones. I thought the same thing, but definitely mechanical issue.

Question Choppy how?

Choppy like how and when? While you are turning the wheel do you feel it pulsate or vibrate? Does it get choppy when you hit the stop (when you've turned the wheel until you cannot turn it any more)? Does it pulsate when diving straight? Does it do any of that with the vehicle stationary? Check all this in both driving and stationary condition.

It's choppy when only turning the wheel while driving, can't notice as much while stationary. The choppiness is consistent throughout the turn radius whether you hit the stops or not. Very scary when driving on the expressway and trying to change lanes and you can't with the wheel chop or pulsate, makes you move over faster than you want because you don't feel like you have full steering control with the choppiness---does this make any sense?? Real hard to explain.

kind of a shot in the dark here but:

if you are not turning your wheel all the way to one side, and its not doing it while applying the brakes, I would probly begin to suspect a pump or rack issue.

I've never heard of a tie rod causing that.

and I assume you are moving when this happens correct?

is your fluid resevore full? is it frothy?
