starter going out?

Default starter going out?

i have an 05 xlt flare side. just got it last week 3 times now it wouldnt start ended up having a buddy tap the starter for me the first time. second 2 times i turned the key to on position then hit it my self and started it. any advice is appreciated

Check the brass connection at the starter they often get corrosion in them and make a poor connection. Check for any green on the wire

clean the battery terminals while you're at it too.

Also, check the starter solenoid wire up by the battery... Very common for corroding. It should be literally right next to the battery (lots of posts about this).
