I just bought an 04 F150 FX4 with72000 miles on it. It ran great till just 3 weeks ago. The engine would die then refire as I was driving. I thought it was fuel related. So I changed the fuel filter, nothing. Changed the fuel pump, nothing. So I talked to the dealer and they told me about a module that mounts to the frame that causes this problem. i bought it, installed it and truck started running fine. Now just yesterday I went home for about an hour, went to my truck started it and it idled rough then died. Restarted it idled rough then died. Went to restart it it cranked over for awhile I gave it a couple pumps of the throttle and it finally started up again and ran fine. Seems if it sits for a short period of time it idles rough then wants to die. If it sits, like overnite, it starts just fine. Anyone else run into this same problem ? Any ideas would be helpful.

 

same thing happens to my truck...happens for a few days then nothing for a week or two then it comes back for a few days then nothing again
