Yep. Sometime in the 2001 to 2004 year range, Ford moved the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft) module to the PCM. Too bad you did not get the keys with that PCM; you would have been good to go, along with the ignition switch and door/tailgate cylinders.
My son did this with his truck; he velcro'd the key on the inside of the steering column that came with the PCM that he bought as a replacement, but kept his original ignition switch and other cylinder locks. Worked well, minus the "security".

I probably would've just replaced the transistor for like $1 :smile: do you have that option?

The way the board is glue to the case, it wasnt even an option, otherwise i would have tried.
