Default stake pocket Utility Mount?

Ok, does anyone know if a company makes a simple square tube bar that will go from the left front stake pocket to the right (right behind the rear window)? I'm looking for something I can bolt a bike front axle mount to. If I had a welder, i'm sure this would be easy enough to make, but I want to look for something off the shelf first.

Check Thule or RockyMounts. Might just be the mount for the front axle but from there you could use 2x4 and build something.

I've settled on the axle mount already, I just need something to mount it to. I've got a bakflip cover on the bed and I thought about mounting it to that, but my bike is really heavy (FR/DH). I would need a significant backplate to make sure it doesn't tear out IF I was going to mount it to that, but I'd rather mount it to a bar, if I can find one.

Hmmm....do you have a local fab shop? You could get the steel you need for real cheap and it would only take a couple welds. Not a fan of hanging the bike over the tailgate?

Yea, it really would be easy enough to make I would think. I'd have to have a shop do it for me though. I don't have the welder.

As for hanging them over the tailgate, I don't mind transporting it that way for short distances. My issue is leaving a $3k bike sitting in a parking lot for 8 hours with no supervision while i'm working really isn't appealing to me. I figure if I can put it on top of my bakflip cover and lock it down, I get the security i'm after as well as still have my weatherproof bed for storage. Really surprised i'm having as much trouble as I am finding a simple bar. LOL I've seen those headache bars, which are close in design, but I don't need all that extra tubing, nor the window protection.

Yea, security is always a concern for bikes in the bed. When I hang mine I run a long cable through the frames and wheels then pad lock it to a tie down bracket. It's odd that no one makes such a simple product but if you can get one fabbed up it would be one of a kind.

Keep me posted, I'd be interested to see it.
