Squeaking Front End
Hey y'all 04 super crew fx4, somebody hit me the other day. he hit my passenger bumper real close to my tire an bit my passenger front tire as well. Thought it was just my ballpoints, which needed to be replaced, but changed them with new control arms and it's still squeaking. squeaks when I get in alittle and when I turn and drive. squeaks when i stand next to the driver tire and lift up an down. don't know what it could be, any ideas? really need to know so the guy can pay for it!! thanks guys.

Check everything that moves when the suspension cycles:
- Sway bar end links and bushings
- Tie rods
- Lower control arm bushings (if you didn't replace the whole arm)
- Check CV joint, although it won't usually cause a sqeaking noise

I would start with end link bushings. Easiest to do yourself and if I remember right about 40 bucks on parts. How many miles on your truck? Any off roading? You know also just thought of something. You could have a broken coil over your strut.

I looked at your post again and the way you were hit i'm betting its the coil. If the responsible party is going to pay for it, I would replace both sides with the quick strut. That way you get new struts and coils at the same time. You have to replace both sides though. You can do the work yourself and save the guy about 80 buck in labor. Also I would get an alignment while your at it.
