Sputtering when passing

Default Sputtering when passing

I have a 2007 f150 5.4l xlt when I'm driving at 55-60 when I hit the gas the truck sputters if I let off and then get back on it it will go then if I make a turn with out stopping in dies down for a sec then goes fine what could it be

This is going to sound dumb but where is your oil level at? When I test drove my truck it did the same thing and checked the oil - this is after the previous owner said it was just changed by him. It was not indicating on the stick... we stopped and I added 2 quarts problem solved.

Impossible. The oil was changed by the owner at home, it has to have been done right! LOL


I suppose I could sort of understand the low oil causing a problem, if the cam phasers didn't have enough oil pressure to function properly.
However, I don't even know if the cam phasers work like that!

Bad grammar and my ability to understand what was written aside, sounds ignition or oil/timing related. (plugs, and whatnot)

I’ve got the same problem, and have had it for quite some time. I think it’s mechanical and possibly in the driveshaft or rear end. But I don’t know enough to troubleshoot it and the only time I took it to my mechanic the truck didn’t act up. I’ve taken the “it’s not left me on the side of the road yet” attitude and hope for the best. I’d love to have it fixed though.
